Giving For Living is an International non-profit organization dedicated to making a lasting change in the communities it serves. The organization has a large volunteer base, both in the US and Nicaragua. These volunteers have invested a tremendous amount of energy and financial resources to improve the everyday life of people in these communities. However, an initiative of this scope cannot be carried out with volunteers alone, GFL has a small, dedicated part time staff. This group works long hours for pennies on the dollar, producing significant results on a small budget.
GFL works hard to diversify our revenue sources and maximize project generated income. We hope that project generated income would be our primary source of revenue in the foreseeable future. However, the road to that goal is long and difficult, and we need your support to get there.

For the past few years, Giving For Living International (GFL) has provided assistance to orphanages, programs and people in need. We have already distributed more than 132,000 items of clothing, toys, computers, and household goods. Most of these projects have been in Africa and Central America. We are very thankful for your generous gifts that you have bestowed on us since our founding.
However, we have recently extended our work to include more remote villages in Nicaragua. Places such as Rio Mana, Tablone, and other remote villages that are virtually isolated in the rainy season and some do not have any roads that connect them to the outside world.
So now more than ever, your support is critical. In order to safeguard these remote villages, improve the lives of the people in these communities and keep their children clothed and housed, your help is needed.
Giving For Living has recently launched an exciting new initiative, a program for gifts of real estate and personal property such as art, antiques, intellectual property and other valuables. For more information on that, please see the links below. If the property is not appropriate for GFL’s own use, GFL will sell it and use the proceeds to help further its programs. In-kind donations, such as used office electronic equipment, or pro-bono services, are gratefully accepted.

All cash donations go directly towards paying for collection, shipping, and distribution of clothing. No overhead or management costs are deducted, also no salary is drawn by any of the organization members. The space in which we operate is donated by various corporations and the people who make this happen are volunteers.
